José Luis Orihuela hizo (como viene siendo costumbre) el inventario -provisionalmente- definitivo sobre el tema de la sindicación (RSS, RDF, XML , ...) de contenidos en los blog: Web de Blogs: RSS y Sindicación.

Añadiré dos cosas al estupendo trabajo de recopilación de Orihuela: Un par de artículos y mi propia experiencia personal.

¿Qué es la sindicación?

El artículo Maestros del Web: El botón naranja: Sindicación XML, RDF, RSS y Atom repasa los términos técnicos que rodean a este tema, explicando los distintos estándares de vinculación de contenidos. Sepa, de una vez por todas, que diferencia hay entre RDF, RSS, XML, ...

De otro lado, desde Walter Kobylanski, html life/weblog y Studio.st nos sorprenden con Feedness.

¿Qué puedo hacer con feedness?

Si es que no has ido corriendo todavía a visitar la página de fedness, te responderé con sus propias palabras:

Leer todos los sitios que ofrecen sus contenidos en XML desde un mismo lugar y gracias a nuestro notificador nosotros te avisamos si hay novedades. Tienes miles de canales para elegir y todos son gratuitos.

Guardar y conservar las noticias o artículos que más te hayan gustado para que puedas consultarlos más tarde. También podrás compartirlos con tus amigos via web o a través de un canal XML especifico para tus recortes.

Muy pronto: Exploramos todos nuestros canales y te avisamos si hay contenidos que te interesan siguiendo los criterios que nos indiques.

Mi propia experiencia:

Hace tiempo que utilizo Bloglines. Recuerdo cómo las primeras semanas después de descubrir los primeros blogs fuí engrosando mi lista de favoritos en el navegador. Después, en la zona de links anoté los que quería visitar a diario. Los primeros días visitaba contínuamente mis blogs preferidos a ver si se habían actualizado. No se sabe... en cualquier momento el autor puede publicar algo interesante. :-P

Creo que todos empezamos así, y algunos así siguen. A todos los que no conocen Bloglines o Fedness les recomiendo que lo hagan.

Ahora Bloglines se publica también en español, permite gestionar blogrolls o listas de favoritos, como la que gestiona los míos: El hombre de la cámara: Enlaces. Permite crear inmumerables (yo tengo cerca de 40) cuentas de correo para suscribirse a listas de correo, darse de alta en lugares dudosos, ... Feedness hace lo mismo, y lo que no hace ahora, pronto lo hará.

A quien cree que lo ha visto todo en gestores de contenidos espero sorprenderle con Kinja. No es tan completo como Bloglines u otros, pero parte de otros supuestos y creo que su idea tiene mucho futuro.
